I appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions. I bought an Evernew bag and it's threads fit perfect into the Sawyer Squeeze.

That’s the way to go. I picked up 2 evernew a couple years ago and they have been fine. The Platy bladder just gets used as a clean bag now.

The threads were never the problem, it was the fact that the seams on the sawyer bags never held up. you can't squeeze water from a bag with ripped out seams.

Not talking about the sawyer threads boss... Its the platy bags into the filter that I was referring to...

Wide opening rear and the threads work. I also like the material more than the platy bags

I've carried a full 2L CNOC in my pack several times.

I second the Sawyer Squeeze and CNOC combo. Works great.
