Can a bear expert tell me what's going on here? Thinking it's a boar and a big sow.
Glassed this up Saturday mid morning. Of course three weeks after the season ended.
Not the best pic, still trying to work on my digi scoping. Ha almost as bad as a Bigfoot pic
Any idea which one is the boar? Doubt they're both boars.

Hard to say from the pic but there are some great resources on YouTube with Canada guided bait hunts that go into detail about sex determination. If you have other pics, some of the most helpful comparisons come from the front half of the bear. Boars will have more robust forearms, chest, and neck, while sows will be more pear shape - at least in the older age groups.

Like PathFinder and your assumption, I'd say probably some spring time lovin', rather than a older cub still milling around mom.

Left one might be the boar, but tough to tell. Good chance you're right on the sow though. Nice shot for digi-scoping!

Boar on the left looks like a solid shooter. Small sow (rounded butt) on the right; big ears, small head, small muzzle, and a lot of sunlight under her.

Again, two similar sized bears together. I have thousands of trail cam pics of bears. These are the only two times I have two bears together from February to October last year. Both were in July, when their rut should be going, even a little late. These photos are 20 miles apart.
