I bought a bottom release Accustock off eBay for $110 (brand new take off). My Lightweight Storm in .308 weighed 7 lbs 2 oz with scope, sling & loaded mag (3-12x32 Mil for scope).
I had to Dremel where the recoil lug is to account for the tapered recoil lug on my Lightweight Storm...just relieved the sides at an angle towards the bottom of the bedding block.
Only thing major was I had to remove .085" off of the bottom of the recoil lug so it would set in the stock all the way.
Torqued action screws to 65 in lbs and everything was sitting nice and flush.
The Accustock added 9 ounces...final weight with sling, scope and loaded magazine is 7 lbs 11 ounces.
Hope this helps somebody out. It's a bit of work but not at all horrible. I'll be taking her out to shoot soon and see if the groups show any change. I was getting 1/2 - 3/4 MOA with 175 SMK's with a max load of Varget. Hadn't had a chance to chrony the loads out of this 20" barrel but was getting 2756 fps out of a 27" barrel.
I'll add an update when I have time.
