Savage Axis XP 223 for Practice

Any thoughts on this rifle? I'm seriously considering buying it for some inexpensive practice. Shooting my 300 WSM and even my 30-06 is getting a little expensive. I'm thinking I will get a 223 and shoot mostly practice with it while shooting a few rounds from my other guns at each session.

Any thoughts on this?
