Savage 110 ultralite elite

Reviving this thread. Does anyone else have one and want to report? I can get them for $2300 and am contemplating between 7PRC and 300WSM. Thanks,
I'm in the same boat on price, but was leaning towards 6.5PRC. Thinking it's a bit too light for 7mm and above.

Looking at buying one of these in 6.5 PRC. Anyone end up pulling the trigger on this and have any additional feedback? With how light the rifle is I also feel 7mm and above would be too much, but curious what others think. Also interested in how the folding stock has held up in the mountains?

I like my 7prc a lot, it’s pretty stiff with a suppressor but can watch impacts fine with a brake on it. I added a 1”spacer at the hinge (from someone on a forum somewhere) and that bolt loosened up last year in the mountains but I put some blue on it and tightened it back up, should be gtg. Nice to have the folder to shove in a pack.

Got it, that’s helpful. For an all around the 7prc does seem like a great choice, especially shooting at larger animals like Elk. With the suppressor on do you feel the kick is too much on the 7prc or is it still manageable? Obviously I’m aware a light mountain hunting gun is going to kick more, just want to get a pulse on it before I get a gun that’s tough to shoot on a regular basis because of the recoil.

2300 is not a bad deal. The chassis and barrel alone are worth more than that. That said, the action and trigger leave something to be desired in my opinion. Regardless, you would be receiving some premium components usable out of the box. 7mm prc suppressed is manageable with real good fundies. Personally, my shot process starts to break down after spending a day behind the 7mm prc ha!

Shot it a few times with a scythe Ti, wasn’t that impressed with suppression and once just kneeling/squatting it set me back pretty good. Shot it with an ACE brake and it was way less pushy. The scythe sounds great on a 7-08. With that said, I shot a deer in a holler with that ace brake and no ear pro and my ears were still ringing 4 hrs later. I’ve got my eye out for a better suppressor/brake combo, and ear pro handy till I find it.
