I have two 10ML ll muzzleloaders. One is an earlier version which doesn't have the AccuTrigger, and the rifling does not go to the end of the barrel, it lacks 3/4" or so. It makes dropping a sabot and bullet in for loading quite easy. The second one, being a bit newer, has the AccuTrigger, and the rifling goes to the end of the barrel. Does anyone know why the rifling changed, and has anyone taken the time to test one over the other for accuracy? I have not, because I left one un-scoped in case I went to a state where scopes and smokeless powder isn't allowed. Also, I plan to sell one to make room in the safe for a new flintlock rifle.

I’ve got several including both versions you mentioned. I haven’t tested side by side to see if there’s any practical difference.

I know the CVA Optima 2 does not have rifling to the end of the barrel. It stacks shots. I'd be more curious/interested in having the AccuTrigger.

I have one. IIRC they called it a 'quick load accurizer' or maybe TC did the same thing and called it that. It's just a counterbore that allows faster bullet starting/seating.

Like a lot of things done in budget rifles (setting aside what they bring now, the savages are/were still budget guns), the concept is good, brilliant even - like a permanently attached false muzzle - but the execution often is not. Or, the idea works great if everything is carefully machined perfectly concentric. Which means some people love them and some people blame them for poor accuracy and it really depends on how close to 'perfect' your individual rifle was made.

I have one that always shot fairly well and at one point I shortened the barrel by 2" to get rid of the counterbored end. Does it shoot better? Not that I can tell. Is it any harder to load, either? Not that I can tell.
