Good afternoon all,

I'm looking for a solid sausage stuffer with good capacity (have 100lbs of moose, caribou trim to make sausage into). So thinking 15lbs minimum. I have made sausage a few times, but am very novice still. I am not sold on whether to go with electric or hand crank, I will probably go with hand crank unless there is a great deal.

I am looking at the LEM MightyBite 15lb, one question I have is it said it will not make snack sticks due to gear stress. However, it does come with a 7/8" stuffing tube, which in my experience is a suitable size for snack sticks?

With black friday coming up in the middle of deer season, does anyone know where to look or if LEM will have deals on meat gadgets?

Thanks for your time, and happy "stuffing"....

I bought a 15lb hand crank stuffer and regret not getting an electric 25lb stuffer for two reasons.

#1 the hand crank is a pain in the ass solo.

#2 25lb stuffer requires less reloads and most good seasonings come in packets that make 25lbs at a time.

I have a 15# Hakka brothers stuffer. Has two gear settings and fairly easy to run. I do agree, an electric would have been a huge upgrade. 7/8 feels more like hotdog size stuffing size. I made 25# of snack sticks a few months ago and probably won’t do that again. Summer sausage is a breeze tho. My favorite so far has been Polish sausage.

Get the 25lb electric stuffer if you can afford it. You won’t regret it, though if you never used the 15lb stuffer before you won’t know how nice you’ll have it with the bigger electric one. Cranking by hand alone is a pain. Cranking with 2 people leads to frustration/discontent when the casings break.
