Sandbag Training

Love sandbags too...have a couple bags...45lb and 85lb. Got mine from Rogue....they won't break...also recommend bags from goruck.com...hand made in bozeman. Use them for lifting or just fillers in my pack to train with weighted pack

GORUCK sand bags are backed by a lifetime SCARS warranty and is a veteran owned company. Toughest bags ive seen! Guarantee they have been tested!!!

Corn plus gear is about 60lbs, and I will use the corn later whereas I don't see the point in paying for dirt in a bag.

You can also buy sandbags and fill them on the cheap

Military Athlete/Mountain Athlete has a pretty legit 6 week sandbag workout program that they offer. Used a Rogue (Large) sandbag for it over this summer and it was effective. Minimal equipment required (makes use of body armor w/plates and dumbbells but you could either do without the body armor or use a weighted vest if you wanted) and very effective.

I just started on this sandbag gig. I went to Wal-Mart and picked up four sandbags. I have two 25lb bags for farmer carry's and two hand exercises and one 50lb for pack weight. I left the last one empty so I can increase my pack weight as needed. So far I have been doing daily WODs with them from a WOD app I have. I use the sandbags instead of bars and weights and it is definitely different, but in a good way. I feel completely wore out after a workout is done.
