Samsung Vs IPhone use off grid

I feel dirty posting and asking about phones, but after dealing with an insane fiasco with AppleCare on my damaged 16Pro, I am legitimately thinking about trying the S26 Ultra.

I use Apples sattelite messaging pretty heavily in season and It has been pretty seamless. Honestly much better than any other platform I’ve used. Apple also works well with Onx and other mapping services

How are the Samsungs off grid, what capabilities do they have as it relates to sattelite communication, compatibility with Onx, mapping, etc, usage diguscoping or with general photography

I’ve ran iPhones for 15 years, not sure if the change is worth it or if I should just roll over and keep using them.

Any information on these or even general input is valued. Thanks.

Can you use the apple satellite texting to non iPhone users? That would be a big factor.

As far as I know samsung does not support satellite messaging yet. At least my S23 doesnt. Everything else is fine. I find battery life far better on my phone than my buddys I pjones but that might be more because I use them less.

Regardless, ive been a happy samsung user for about 10 years now. I get a new one for work every year but my personal one is a 2017 model and still kicking.

I used satellite messaging in Eastern MT last year on Visible. I don't think it's using the Apple system, but I only texted another Apple user.

My s25 ultra has been great for me and I have satellite messaging as well, works pretty clean so far. Works through the your normal text message app.

Converted along time ago after the iPhone 3 and happy I did. Better fit for me.
