Salting cape?

How many pounds of salt for each caribou cape that is fleshed and clean. How about a wolf hide. As a fur harvester for 50 years, I am very good at skinning and fleshing so they will be clean.

If you skin it clean and flesh well, 1 bag will do a lot. Make sure it's medium or fine grain. Feed store salt works fine, Solar Salt.

Wolf hide I would trapper dry after fleshing, board it up and be done til tanning. Maybe borax the ears, face and arm pits to avoid slipping. Maybe a wolf guy will chime in though. I'm thinking they are like big coyotes for fleshing and boarding, drying.
