Salomon lack of stock

I'm looking to replace my 4d gtx's but salomons website hasn't had any in quite some time. Is this normal for early in the year? Is there a 2021 release coming, or is the low stock a side effect of covid effecting production?

I called Salomon on this. They said they are no longer making this model of 4D's. They are updating them and the new model will be out this Spring. In the meantime, you would have to buy whatever they have left in stock from REI or Backcountry or wherever.

supply chain logistics are just basically all f%cked up.
I source goods for a retail store, never have seen it so screwed up.
