What brands of salami do people use for 4-5 days in the backcountry ? Trying to go the bagel and salami route instead of my overload of peanut butter I usually do. Costco, Aldi, etc. thanks for the help!

Whole Foods Deli Dept has 8-9 choices of salami at one of the markets I shop at. They are very friendly about letting you try as many as you would like. I agree pb&j is good for only about 1 day before I am tired of it,

I buy the cured salami from Costco. But like stated, any cured salami will work.

Cream cheese, salami, and bacon on a bagel.
Vac seal and put in freezer. Transport to hunt location in cooler and they are fine for a 10 day hunt from there.

Depending on what you like grocery store is great like @MtnW said, I get them to slice it as thick as they can then you can cut them in half and its like a piece of jerky. I will say the "hard salami" tends keep better seems to get less oily on day 3 or 4 then the pre sliced thinner stuff from costco.
