Sako 75/85

Does anyone have any experience with a Sako 75/85? My brother in law is looking at one in a .300 RUM. I don't know anyone that owns one, and want to make sure it is a gun he will be happy with.

Thanks!!

I've been using a Sako 75 in a 270 WSM for a good number of years. Very accurate rifle and fits me well, killed a good number of critters with it. It's been used hard as a killing tool and carried on many hunts over many miles and has always performed flawlessly. I've got no complaints with it in any way it's been my goto rifle. A good friend of mine also has a 75 in a 300 RUM that I've had the pleasure to shoot a decent number of times and it's also a reall accurate rifle. Not sure what your brother in law's plans are for it but for an out of the box production rifle I think it's pretty tough to beat.

I've got a Sako75 Stainless Synthetic in .300WinMag I got new many years ago. Great rifle and it has been on many trips and taken a good number of species. It is very accurate with zero modifications. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
If your brother in law does get one I have some new never mounted Sako Optilock rings he may want. I'll let them go for a good price.

Well, I have two---a 280 AI and a 375 H and H both custom builds and they are wonderful rifles/actions. Plus I'm a leftie and they are both left handed which I am glad to see a rifle manufacturer make. I would recommend them highly.
