Sako S20 pre fit barrels? Options?

You’re thinking about the right things - with an all factory S20 (mines a 24” 300 win mag) , medium rings work for most optics - including the 56mm objectives

The factory barrel profile tapers fast after the chamber -

My current Optic is a Steiner T6xi 2.5-15 x 56mm and no issues

I’ve had two other optics on it as well - 5-25x50mm vortex and 4-20x50mm weaver.
Lots of space

And you have the adjustable cheek piece too
