Sako Finnlight vs Hell’s Canyon vs Cooper laminate sporter

I have watched the video on these. For $13 it seems like a great option. Do you have any experience with them you can report?

They lighten up the pull a bit lower than you can go without making that change, not much else to note.

I picked up an xbolt long range laminate in 6.5 cm a couple days ago. I am very impressed with the fit, finish, and feel of the rifle. Although set a little heavy from the factory for my liking, the trigger is excellent. I plan to shoot it this weekend and can give a report.

Sweet I’ll be excited to hear what you think of it. It looks like for a $100 more it is money well spent to get the adjustable comb instead of the low sporter stock on the HCLR. Pictures of them look like sharp rifles too.

Get the Finn, a million scandihoovians cant be wrong...

last LR session, if you can call 800yds LR

I mounted a VX6 3-18x44 with medium rings on that Xbolt this morning. Glad to have had the adjustable comb.

I have the backcountry and my buddy has an x-bolt(white gold medallion). My cooper is very nice but definitely takes more work controlling recoil. If you are looking for an all around 300 win mag and set on a cooper, I would look at the timberline. I was very impressed with it at the sheep show, and extra lb or so over the backcountry would help keep the muzzle flip down. That said, I am really impressed with my buddy’s x-bolt. After doing the trigger spring change that others have mentioned, it’s not bad. The cooper is nicer for sure but I would be happy with the browning in a hunting rifle. The mag box length is longer than a lot of brands, but not as long as the cooper. We did run out of length for the 215 Berger’s when trying to go to the lands. The nice part is you can actually Dremel out the plastic to give you some more space if you choose. His browning has no problems shooting under MOA with factory ammo and can do better with hand loading. For the money, the browning offers a lot IMHO. I love the cooper but it is about twice the price. Hope this helps and good luck with your decision.
