Looking to replace the factory stock on my Finnlight 7mm rem mag. What are my lightweight options while still using the factory mag? Looking to stay with the classic hunting style stock and I prefer a thinner grip area. Is there anything out there that's not going to add weight? I actually like my Tikka factory stock better than the Finnlight. I considered selling the Sako for a Tikka Superlite but the Sako Is extremely accurate and I have a bunch of ammo for it. With my luck the Tikka wouldn't like the same ammo.

Thanks in advance.

I just sold a McMillan Sako hunter edge fill for SM action that I had made for my Finn light. Honestly it only lightened up the rifle 3-4oz. I don’t know how much weight you’re looking to remove but if it’s more than that you will have to look elsewhere.

I put a Mcmillian stock on my Sako 75 with edge fill it was 10 oz lighter than the factory stock. I know the factory stock on the 85 is lighter than the factory 75 stock. Don’t know if you have a 75 or an 85

I have an 85. It doesn't have to be lighter I just don't want to add weight. I didn't think I could do the edge fill with the 7mm mag?

Mine is an 85 as well. If you do not do the edge fill the McMillan will likely be a little heavier than the factory 85 stock.
