Sako 90 rings… also Tikka I guess.

Just picked up a Sako 90 Bavarian in 6.5x55.

Unbeknownst to me, they updated the rail system on these bad boys to the 17mm that Tikkas use. Goody, get to return my Talley bases.

What’s everyone usin for their direct rail mounts? I thought about getting the UM ones, but 1) I do not feel they fit the aesthetic of this rifle and 2) the low 30mms are only on backorder and I want to get this thing rollin ASAP.

For the record, will be using a Leupold VX-R 4-12x40.

Nice rifle, does it take Optilock rings & mounts? If so, best system I ever used. Return to zero was flawless after removing scope in rings / mounts dozens of times. Swaro Z3 btw. They are great mounts

They’ll take the tikka optilocks but not any of the previous versions.

Ended up trying Warnes. Great rings. Very solid.

How do I determine what mm a dovetail is? Is it the width between two or ???

Also, will the Warne rings pictured above fit a Sako Finnlight 75?

It’s the width of the top flat.

No, the 75 uses the old Sako tapered dovetail.
