Sako 85 grey wolf optilock issue

I am sure I am missing something obvious but attempting to mount optilock bases on a 375 h&h sako 85 L grey wolf and the front base grooves are way too narrow. They are angled to fit but stop way before the ejector is cleared. Pics of guide for selecting bases and where the base actually wound up. (Rear base fit on perfectly.) Any guidance appreciated.

long action requires extended bases just like in middle photo. installation is correct in photo. i have exact same mounts on a 416 rem and 300 win mag. hope this isn't too late to help
