Any west coast guys gearing up to shoot sage rats (Belding Ground Squirrels)?
I'm headed out at the end of the month to wage war on the little squeaks!

We may have to switch to sage rats as the 3 PD towns we had targeted in MT had major plague die offs. I was really wanting the grands to shoot CF rifles at PD’s to prep for Pronghorn hunting. But 17 HMR’s at sage rats is a close second in terms of hunt prep.

I have never done P Dogs but there some serious rat infestations near me.

Both are lots of fun. PD’s are a longer trip for us is the down side. Central MT is where we go for PD’s of late. Unity & Christmas Valley areas are where we’ve shot rats.
