S2H WINTER CLASS 2026

If type 2 fun is you're thing, I highly recommend doing this!

I would do it again no question!
It was fantastic and I'd definitely do it again!

I learned as much about how different equipment, clothing, and people work/don't work in the cold as I did about shooting, and that knowledge/testing environment would be just as valuable as the shooting side of things to anyone who does late-season hunting.

Yes there might be some type 2 fun if real winter isn't your thing, but type 2 fun makes better memories (and the food taste even better).

All the screws that hold me together would disagree on the fun factor. I can shoot when it is over 100 degrees, but below freezing and I am woodford reserves double oaks best friend.

What is type 2 fun? is it like type 2 diabetes?
it's hard to explain...
I'll give an example.

You choose to do something that sounds fun, a shooting class sounds fun right?

You show up and get tossed in situations impossible to accomplish so you feel crushed and inadequate as a man.

Then for 4 days you're made to do endless rifle push ups and backpack burpees in the hot sun while the instructor sits in a lazy boy in the shade sipping a latte while analyzing your groups..."looks like you still suck. do it again! FASTER" he says.

Then on the last day you walk miles in the hot sun, then rain to lay in cactus and shoot little things really far away. You hit a few little things far away and think "this was fun!"

That's type 2 fun

or Stockholm syndrome...

😆

Hot sun is relative. It's 116 at home right now.

You guys have fun shooting on Hoth this Winter. I'll be shooting on Arrakis for another 2 months...
