S&B 3-12x42 P3L Unavailable everywhere?

What happened? All of a sudden the S&B 3-12x42 Klassik P3L is out of stock or discontinued everywhere? Is this scope gone forever?
After putting one on my Howa Mini build last year this was going to be my go-to scope moving forward.

S&B did discontinue a lot of scopes recently but the 3-12x42 Klassik P3L ( 645-811-882-40-05A02 ) is still on the website and catalog, so probably just out of stock for now. On the other hand only 2 scopes use the P3L reticle 3-12x42 Klassik and 3-12x50 PMII, may want to contact S&B if the scope you want is still available or if reticle swaps are still possible. I believe the bigger issue may be them discontinuing reticles.

Right. I found an L3 reticle with the BDC turret on scopelist. I don't think that combo was available last year. If I remember correctly all BDC turrets had the P3L reticle.

Does S&B think we all hunt where there is no wind? LOL

Probably a hiccup in the supply chain due to uncertainty with tariffs, getting slammed with big ones then little ones being left in place. There's a number of companies across a bunch of industries in Europe that put a pause on shipping to the US the last couple of weeks, but with the 90-day pause on tariffs they'll likely ship a lot for the next month or two, then another pause when the 90 days starts to end.

I had both maven and that S&B and thought the glass was nothing special. Replaced it with another Maven

What does the heavy Maven have to do with the S&B Klassik? If the Maven is better for your uses great. That's not what this thread is about. I have zero desire to put a 26+ ounce scope on a hunting rifle ever. I own a Klassik 3-12 and it's perfect for the way I hunt. That's why I want to be able to buy another one.

The SWFA (which you have never used) has no zero stop and an exposed windage turret. No thanks. The SWFA 6x I own feels like absolute trash when dialing. Mushy as heck. I would never buy another one and certainly wouldn't put one on a primary hunting rifle. But it does fine training duty on my 223 so I keep it.

They blew them out at under 1k late last year. Sold out of their stock I reckon.
