RYAN LAMPERS CRIMINAL COMPLAINT | GRITTY RESPONSE

Permit to capture video? Why would I need a permit or better why the hell should the state have the power to require that permit? This would be a great example of an absurd regulation that should be ignored. If this ever becomes a state regulation in an area I'm hunting, I will video every hunt I do and I'll post it whether anyone watches it or not.

It tells you that they work infinitely harder than you do? Why do you resent people that are willing to put in work that you aren't?

If its a non contact sport then that's exactly what I'd say. Who cares? Why should I? Why do you?

I never want the state to have this kind of authority over the press. The world was a better place when the internet was the wild west.

So many argue from the position of ignorance. If you do something for profit on public lands you need a permit. No different than a fishing guide on a designated wild and scenic river…needs a permit from the forest service. Riding people around on horses…need a permit.

Selling your soul on YouTube to the highest bidder poaching game on national forest…need a permit.

I was an advid follower of Gritty for a couple years. I ended up buying my .338 weatherby prior to a moose hunt largely based on their reviews. I love that gun. Its absolutely fantastic, if not expensive.

However, his videos started to change and got very very heavy on sponsored gear. Like everything was sponsored and it was hard to tell the truth from sponsored. I think his bear hunt on the e bikes was around the last one I watched.

That said, in my view, this video is sad. He is very defensive and outright hostile at times. Bringing up his sexual relations (which has discussed before) was a very odd moment and honestly very out of place. Bring up that he doesn't know what is going on in his personal life, also odd. The random name dropping of B Miller aanswered.

I didn't go into the comments, but judging by the ton on this thread, it sounds equally sad.

Given how oddly defensive this was, it raises more questions then he anssered. To me, its very clear he's concerned about losing his sponsorships. But how he's gone about it... im not sure if the strategy will be effective.

He could have condensed all of this down to about 90 seconds.

Hey guys, many of you have asked me to talk about the recent news regarding Lampers. As many of you know, Ryan and I have a history of collaborating, but I haven't worked with him in about 18 months, and I was not present during the time period in question.

I know many of you are concerned and have strong feelings about this. I've been seeing a lot of your comments and messages, and I want you to know I hear you. The situation is serious, with charges filed, and it's a reminder of the importance of ethical conduct in the outdoors.

I don't have all the details, and I'm not here to pass judgment. But I want to be clear that I stand for the values of fair chase, respect for wildlife, and accountability. It’s important that we all remember that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but that we also acknowledge the seriousness of the allegations.

I'll be watching as this unfolds, and I appreciate your understanding and for holding these values with me. Thanks for listening. /watching / reading whatever"

Bam done. No drama. No "ive only ever been with one woman " no other nonsense.
Man, my experience exactly of how much I enjoyed his stuff until it was just a “be sure to drink your ovaltine” podcast. Judging by the numbers, lots of folks felt the same.

I had the same reaction to his REACTION as you. Very defensive and weirdly hostile. But they need these videos to be 10 minutes long in order to appease the algorithm.

Watched the whole video . Never heard of these two before.
My opinion is he’s just another egotistical, self serving, average intelligence, internet wannabe, that is monetizing wildlife.
Not someone I would want to share a hunting camp with. Seems as though he is a name dropper ,trying to protect him self as well as trying to throw others under the bus. The dude is one of the biggest Drama Queens I had the misfortune to listen to in quite some time. My opinion is he’s is a douche.
Well, it sounds like you know him😏

Except he would be lying if he said that’s what he stands for.

MW, SFW, Greentree, the wolf Issue, filming permits, etc. Guys got a track record of over a decade of not having those values.

The guy doesn’t care about anything but making money off the back of our wild places and wildlife, as is the case with 99% of social media hunters.

I just find it disheartening people prop these individuals up, and clearly attempt to live vicariously through them, and can’t square the fact they are not who they portray in front of the shiny lens.

One thing by the comments on the video that makes me wonder. How often do people pop across unit boundaries to kill stuff? I cant believe how many folks are not worried or think its not a big deal that he had to cross a damn river to kill something.

Im thinking this is a lot more common with the general population of hunters.
I see it all the time in CO archery. People not in the right unit. Pretty much every year at least a couple times. Most of the times it is ignorance or a mistake. I think.

As for Brian, and all YouTube people, I watch them all. That is because I think anyone that pays for TV services is stupid and has too much money. I watch YouTube, because it is free. Most of the time what is on YouTube is more honest than the major networks. Most of the people on YouTube start from humble beginnings and then some people make it into an enterprise. I don’t worship anyone and not a fanboy of anyone. But if someone is on YouTube I don’t immediately have a problem with them. Eastmans has a channel…. They have been around for decades.

But this video was a cringe for me, nothing here was accomplished that I can tell. Just tells me more about Brian’s personality.

That comment is why most guys are infatuated with this crap.
I’m 50 with bicep veins and get out of shape men comment negative all the time.
Get off your ass and you would have a bicep vein or some antlers on the wall.
Busting a guy because he’s in shape,really.
It gets old but is funny at the same time.
That’s like saying you drive a diesel so you must be a redneck.
Lots of stupid comments in these threads.
I dont like or dislike any of these influencers but do enjoy some of there content.
That’s the world we live in though, I get coworkers rolling their eyes when I mention going to the gym or working out. In fact there was a pot luck thing the other night, I had absolutely no interest in going (who the **** wants to hang out at work with coworkers after hours) when asked if I was going I simply said I couldn’t make it….when they asked why, I said “I need to run my dogs and get my workout in”…..the eye rolling commenced and negative comments started. All I could think was “have fun pigging out then taking leftovers home to eat later”.

I just turned 57, easing back in the gym after being out for years.

And now my friends are going to look at me like I’m a freak when I get arm veins !! 😭

Of course Brian comes across as hostile and defensive in the video… it must be very difficult to read all the comments on this site as well as others and know that people think you’re a clown, or at the minimum see through the facade he’s trying to create for himself as some kind of professional or authority.

These influencer types will deny ever visiting sites like this one and claim they don’t care what people say, but we all know that isn’t true.

Those people are losers and have a losers mentality.

I work with a bunch of guys who's entire personalities revolve around drinking beer, how much beer they can drink, when they can start drinking beer, is it too early for beer?

They also dont take care of themselves or exercise because that would cut into beer drinking time.

Just be greatful and proud that you have the mentality you do.

I had a torn meniscus surgery last month and was elk hunting 3 weeks after the surgery. My doctor said its because I was in good shape. He said there is a common denominator with 95% of his patience and its that they are all 50-65 year old who's bodies are failing from having done nothing their whole life.

Wildlife crimes are petty? Or hunters holding other hunters accountable for illegal take of a public resource is petty?

Definition of petty for your records: of little importance; trivial.

Where did I ever say a game law violation was no big deal?

Getting worked up over what a guy did on an internet forum used as a personal sounding board is trivial and of little importance.

Yes, I used the word  petty correctly...

I like most of Brian calls hunting videos, and found Stephen Wilson Jr's music through an elk video of his. Damn that guy is a good musician.

I haven't watched this video because I read everyone's comments so there's no need lol

It's just damage control deflection

Sometimes I think to myself "Man, it'd be cool if there was a way to meet everyone on Rokslide in person! I bet we'd all get along and be friends since we've got hunting in common!"

Then I get on Rokslide and read through a few threads............ turns out Rokslide is just like the rest of the internet.
