It was a great trip and much fun was had.

I was also able to get more in depth testing done on the Sony A7R and A7II cameras (much lighter than the Nikon D810).

General bear/archery question, what's your setup for this? Is there a recommended minimum draw/arrow weight, etc for bear hunting? Advisable to pack a firearm just in case? I've never bear hunted before but looks like fun.

I would shoot the biggest cutting broahead that you can (big holes are nice in the case of bears).

I've never packed a firearm before, but it doesn't hurt anything either.

I like heavy arrows, but anything above 400 should be fine.

Looks like a great time. Awesome bear and nice pics too.
