Ryan and Aron's Black Bear Hunt (photo heavy...text light)

I really need to thank Ryan for having everything prepped and ready for this hunt. The truck was loaded and we were able to head out quickly after I arrived!

His wife Tanya is also a Rock Star and I always appreciate her putting up with me!

After all of that, Ryan dropped me off at a gated road and wished me luck!

When I was about 4.5 miles into the bow hiking, I noticed a bear 120 yards away!

I quickly snapped a couple photos, dropped my pack and moved in for a closer look!

Shortly after I got within 40 yards I shot him.....

Shortly after I shot him he died..... like 15 yards from where I shot him.

Very nice bear....not the typical 4.5footer! Hard to believe a fella could survive up there with nothing but the largest box of CheeZits ever produced and a 5lb keg of pretzel parts.

I'm guessing the Monster can/Bucket combo was the mouse equivalent to "Ultimate Ninja Warrior"?

Lastly, this that same bear from FB you tagged Lone Wolf in, or you Double Down in Idaho already?

10-3....I posted before you added the above pic. Ear tag? We spotted a collared bear a few years ago up near where you were. I think many of the "problem" bears get the NIDAHO drop.

The pack is loaded with 3 quarters, back straps, cape and head....... and it's time for me to head back towards camp and get something to eat!

Just shot the one with my bow, but I wanted to give Lone Wolf some love for making that bad ass pistol.
