I have a m77 7mag that I have had since I was 14 (20 years). I love the look of the wood stock, but it’s sentimental to me and I would also like to have an option for a rail, so my question is; are there any synthetic options out there that are an easy swap? I’ve found a Boyd’s that a really like but would prefer synthetic over wood just for durability and weight. Most companies I’ve looked at don’t seem to have an option for the m77 mkii. Any input from you guys with more experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

H&S and b/c are the only two drop in I’ve found. MDT had a LSS chassis that you could put it in but then you would have to mill the action to accept magazines and also modify the magazine to feed correctly.

Hoping for a solution from Stockys because I’d rather give them my money than any of the other options at this point.

If it were me I'd leave it as is and buy something in SS/synthetic with a stock you like. Just hunt the Ruger in fair weather. I have a pile of "sentimental" blued/walnut rigs from my youth or from old hunting partners. Generally leave them set up as is or put period correct scopes on them and take them on hunts as back ups/fair weather rigs.
