Couple of years ago I bought my 11 year old daughter a Ruger American Compact in 7MM08. She has grown a little bit and I’d like to upgrade the stock. The LOP on the stock is really short and I’m considering the Magpul stock. Is this a good upgrade, and is it worth the money ($300-ish)?

Anyone have experience with the Magpul?

I like it a lot actually. It made my 308 much more enjoyable to shoot. The grip angle is fantastic. It will add a chunk of weight though.

It seems to be the upgrade that most gun shops are pushing right now. Adds a good bit of weight, but also gets you away from those terrible rotary magazines and into AICS mags.

Same mags. I put a Boyds at-one stock on my son’s American and it groups better than any of my other rifles. It is adjustable and cheaper than the Magpul.
