I've heard these new Gen II's are really accurate and fun to handle. The schtick seems to be the cheap plastic-y stock and trigger guard. Anyone using an aftermarket stock and getting good results? Rokstok in the future? Thanks for info.

I think they are the same inlet as the original. MDT has some stocks available and introduced the timbr core for it at the shot show.

I was looking at the Indian Creek Design chassis for my fiancé's 243. Was also thinking of picking one up in 300WM and putting it in this chassis as well, they are currently sold out of the model we like. I like the folding stock for backpack hunting having suppressor's for both rifles it cuts the length quite a bit.

I had all but made my mind up to buy one before I was brainwashed by the Rokslide special cult. If I was convinced the Ruger Gen II would feed reliably, I would still get one. I was going to get an MDT chassis for it.

I wish Stockys would make a CFVG stock for it. I am going to look at the MDT wood stock for it as well. Boyds makes one as well

A friend tried a Gen 2 in a Trybe chassis designed for the Gen 1 and the safety transfer bar cases some issues.
I’ve interchanged the factory stocks between the two with no issues.

So I guess I’m trying to say so might work and some might not. 😀

ETA.
I don’t think there will ever be a RokStok for the Ruger American.
But in another thread Stockys seems receptive to building a CFVG for the RA.
There were quite a few requests.

Im fine without a rokstok option. I think they're quite ugly. CFVG would be a homerun
