Ruger American Gen 2 stock options

Currently have a gen 2 243 in a heat seeker chassis for my son. Love the chassis for me but too heavy and the length of pull is too long for him. He is 9 years old. What other options with a shorter LOP would you recommend?

what was wrong with the stock that came with the rifle. I thought it was adjustable for the lop for a youth and had cheek risers.

Lately it has come to the attention of several moderators on here that the posting of threads in the "General Forum" which are not suitable for the "General Forum" and are more suitable for the other forums such as "Elk Hunting", "Mule Deer", "Clothing", or "Gear" forums (for example) are becoming increased and the moderators and owners of the site are spending more time moving threads to their proper forum than working on our awesome reviews and being able to police the entire forum.

It does and is better than the gen 1 but still cheap and flimsy. Also not actually free floated. I’ve sanded them down and epoxied them in the past but don’t really want to do all that again.
