Looking to see if anyone has used either of these factory ELD-M 195gr or 200gr ELD-X out of their roughtech tikka with good results?
I'm low on brass and am contemplating buying brass possibly to reload 180gr Accubonds or pick up some quality factory rounds to hunt this season. And work on load development post season when things are slow.
I landed on these hornady offerings because they seem to be priced decently compared to factory Nosler ABs. If you guys have other factory suggestions that would do well on elk to 500-600 let me know, looking to grab 80 rounds or so for the time being.

The factory Hornady 200 grain eldx shoot really well out of my Superlite. I used them before having to go lead free but wont hesitate to use them on out of state hunts.

Federal 200 Gr. Terminal Ascent 300 mag are well under an inch at 100 yds. in my Tikka Roughtech, I am using this ammo on my Montana elk hunt this November.

I'll also give a thumbs up for the 200 grain Terminal Ascent in the .300 win. Tried it in two rifles this year and both shot sub moa. It'll be my round for elk this Fall as well.

What muzzle velocity are you guys getting out of the roughtech with 200gr?

I made a bunch of 200 Eldx 300 wsm rounds with a starting load of reloader 25 for my friend. They were slow velocity compared to the lighter weights I usually load but very accurate. He took 2 bull elk and a whitetail with them. Excellent results all around.

Muzzle velocity with the Fed. 200 T/A out of my Tikka Roughtech was slightly higher than the listed velocity. The average was 2825 fps.

I haven’t shot a factory loads, but the 200 ELDx, AB, Sierra and 205 Bergers have all shot well out of a 300 WM & 300WSM Tikka T3.
