Looking to do a guided hunt with my daughter. She lives in the area so I want to go back to visit and maybe do a hunt together. Anyone know of a good outfitter? I never do it that way at home here in Colorado but am thinking without time to scout and the ability to make it happen maybe we can have a good time chasing elk in Oregon. If there are options hunting timber company lands let me know if you will.

What part of the state is your daughter? Ive hunted roosevelts my whole life, and do not know much of guided Roosevelt hunts in Oregon. They are a tough critter to chase at times. Mostly because of terrain.

Not saying there isn't any guided opportunities. I have heard of some down in the Sixes or Powers unites via forum posts on another forum, and those are draw units.

And I assume you're talking rifle elk. Which there are two seasons for roosevelts over the counter. First season is 4 days starting mid November, Second season is the week of Thanksgiving, 6 or 7 days in total length.

If you're thinking an over the counter tag, there is plenty of access and opportunity. You can PM with what part of the state your daughter is and Ill give you enough info to get going.
