I have a

Tjernlund AS1 AireShare Room-To-Room Fan Ventilator, Hardwired,70 CFM

and I want it controlled via a thermostat. Can anyone help me with what type thermostat I need how to wire it?

Look at the Tjernlund FC24 fan center. It looks to have very good directions with wiring diagrams and will do what you are wanting I believe. Just about any 24 volt thermostat should work with it.

You could also wire it to a smart light switch with a cheap smart temp sensor to trigger the power.

I haven't seriously looked for one to move cool air around the house, yet, but I've got this (link below) to run the pool solar heater...it measures temperature in the solar panel and temperature in the pool. When the solar panel is warmer than the pool, the system turns on a pump and opens a valve (more or less, there are details and way more functionality than that).

Pretty sure there has to be a similar system for air control.
