Another vote for the roll from one end at an angle, and then once the whole thing is rolled up/rings are on, twisting it gently straightens it out. Really a lot easier than the number of threads and videos about makes it seem.

Yeah... first attempt was a little too angled... 2nd attempt was rolled in an angle, but attempted to keep it more elongated (if that's making sense) and was easier than anticipated.
