RokStok

I’m sold on ordering a Rokstok but am struggling about adding a rail or not. I currently don’t shoot with a bipod, just use a pack. And I don’t see shooting off a tripod in my future. Am I going to regret not getting a rail? And, sling studs or flush cups?

I never use a bipod/arca/etc, just a pack or trekking poles. My first has a rail and left side flush cups. Second has no rail, left side flush cups, stud under front and rear. I prefer the configuration of the second with no rail. I like having flush cups for sling use or when hanging if I'm in a stand. I wouldn't order studs as an add on but I'm fine with having them as they're so easily removed.

I never used a bipod either. My came with a Trinity rail. I bought a Spartan but still don’t find myself using it. I imagined it would be a use case where I could drop the pack and stalk with the bipod in my bino pack. However, that use case just hasn’t panned out.

Can you show a pic of the trinity mounted?

This is the rail I currently have and vastly prefer. I don’t currently have anything on the picatinny rail portion. Alpine Rifles currently has my stock installing additional QD attachments on the sides (the one I got didn’t come with them). I carry a Spartan bipod with me on my bino harness since it is impractical to carry a backpack all the time. When I go walking or hiking around my farm, I now wear the bino harness all the time, but wear a camelback rather than a backpack.

These are some of the pictures of the Trinity rail. I don’t like it one bit. Each portion is too small to be useful. For instance, the picatinny rail is too short for most bipods. The Spartan hole is too close to the QD hole. I traded my Trinity rail for the other one.

Thank you for the pics. I’m truly hoping somebody can build an arca with a Spartan adapter that can be flush and used on the new lite version…
