RokStok

When I ordered mine I asked for a clear coat cerakote but after the confirmation email I told them I planned on painting them myself and they recommended not putting a clear cerakote on and just sent me them in bare carbon. No extra charge and mine had minimal imperfections so I was quite happy.

Has anyone figured out an aftermarket bottom metal that actually works with the Rokstok? I was leaning towards Mtn Tactical or High Desert but it sounds like they have issues… Any with an enlarged trigger guard that done need shims or hand fitting / grinding?

Maybe red snake but looks like it takes some work. Post 10442 I think.

That’s my quote above.
The reason the red snake needs some dremel work is because you are trying to run aics mags in a standard tikka inlet.

So anything that uses the regular plastic tikka mags will be as close to plug and play as you’re gonna get.

Lumley bottom metal gets good reviews. Uses the factory tikka mags, and should generally be a one and done solution. But no personal experience with them.

I’ve only heard good things about high desert also. They reportedly provide the shims with the bottom metal kit. And in the world of stock fitting, using shims to get proper bottom metal spacing, is about as easy as it gets. But again, no first hand experience with this mfg either because I was specifically trying to use aics mags.

As I said in the other thread, PR Precision has been great for me. I’ve had four of them, accidentally sold one to Dioni, and just ordered another one.

Lumley Arms Tikka DBM for factory mags was a perfect drop in. Quality, fit and function has been flawless less any Fiddle Funking... They also do a Fat Finger Arctic version.

Lumley Arms with the Arctic trigger guard is what I used with my RokStok. However, I had to do some minor filing of the inlet with a small file followed by a little sanding with an emery board. The fit was tight, but everything seems to function properly with the factory magazines.

Can anyone tell me if a Preferred Barrel Blanks hybrid lite barrel fits well in the "factory" channel on the a Rokstok?

I had the Hybrid Lite. It will be similar to a factory Lite in a factory stock — which most of us dremel out. In fact, I think it was even tighter than factory by a smidge.

I would go bigger for the stock contour.

It's bigger than a lite contour. Somewhere in this massive thread are multiple people saying they shouldn't even offer the factory lite because it's too tight on factory lite barrels. So I say its probably not a good choice for that one.

They are ugly stocks, no need to get cute stuffing a barrel as tight as possible to the stock.

I order mine in sendero, the one I bought used I sanded out to sendero. Cant think of any reason not to go big.

Same! Sendero for everything.

I’m sorta patiently waiting for my first Rokstok. At 2.5 months, hoping just maybe it’ll be a little early. Probably not too
