Podcast was a good listen. I certainly appreciate the innovation being brought to the table. A certain swing and miss on my part made the point for the range finding binos I "didn't need", excellent product.

I'll give @Aaron Davidson the benefit of the doubt that his technical/engineering brain can't see the proof in the pudding of the drop tests. Are they done on high level engineered machines with sensors no. Is it VERY VERY clear and repeatable that some scopes almost never shift (with correct assembly) when dropped and others nearly always do. Yes.

Ok. Back to my original question. Do you know that Aaron is lying about his experience with Nightforce due to some bad blood between them or is that just conjecture? I have always respected his opinions and that information could change the way i feel about that.

Ok. I will just assume that you do not know for a fact that Aaron is speaking bad about Nightforce out of “bad blood” or you would answer the question. This has been a genuine question on my part and not adversarial in any way and you have dodged answering it several times. So moving on seems to be the best idea.

How bout this one. Pretty pleased with it so Far. Spotting shots and recoil seem plenty manageable with a Can. Wish it was an OG....

Mine worked out fine. I think mine was maybe the very first one? Initially the inletting for the CTR bottom metal was great, but the inletting for the mag was for standard T3X mags (not CTR mags). So back it went to UM, they fixed it quick and its all been great.

A bonus is that I can use my CTR inlet Rockstock with CTR bottom metal and mags, or switch over to standard Tikka metal and mags and everything works no problem.
Only downside is visual, as there is a little bit of a gap with T3x metal. But everything works fine.

I think i'm going to send my forthcoming rokstok back to Stockys to get re-inletted for CTR bottom metal, ideally to use this new MDT bottom metal that is CTR inlet but for AICS mags. https://mdttac.com/us/core-bottom-metal

Required a turn back to them for adjustment of feeding clearance (mags sitting too low) but it works great now with AtlasWorx CTR to AICS BM.

Interested in this as I have 2 RS’s and one shoots well. The other has issues. The notch for the bolt release pin was not cut out. Took a few 3” groups on 2 different know. actions to discover it. I increased the inlet for the pin, however, it did not improve the groups. Also needed to add a washer to the tang action screw as the factory screw locked the bolt down.

would these issues be cover under warranty?

I’m sort of thinking the same. But I did get one of the ascension mags for the 6 arc so might see how that works first

Definitely before you modified it yourself.

Maybe not afterwards. Doesn’t hurt to ask?

Call UM and ask for Alek. This is less a "warranty" and more a "relationship" you build with a people-driven company like UM.

Send it back to UM and put Attn: Form.

I read that you had ~3 Leupolds and thought that you were trying to base you're opinion of them based off that? Is that not accurate?

Like i said you obviously did not read what i said. All of my inquires were about Aaron Davidson. I did not say anything good or bad about Leupold. And actually i own 4 Leupolds if you are keeping inventory of my optics.
