Rokstok Lite

Is UM considering taking operations in house? I understand the frustration with stocky but I’ve been ready to buy a rokstok lite for a couple months and still waiting for another MKC-esque drop, but the lead times after order are nuts. I received a foundation stock in under 4 weeks and a McMillan in 2 months. Both of which are higher quality than anything I’ve ever received from stockys.

UM owns the mold but they do not own the process. The molds and the stock designs cut into the mold are all owned by UM but it isn't like UM has the machines and materials already in-house ready to make carbon fiber stocks. That would take a heck of an initial investment for minimal ROI when keeping current pricing. In addition, we don't know what the current conditions are with production as Stockys seems to be able to keep their own branded stocks mostly in stock or with very short wait times.

why. there's a bottleneck at UM too whether it's cerakote or parts etc.

Surely the biggest chunk of the delay is Stocky’s production and poor qc

You should call up UM or Stocky’s and ask them when Stocky’s made its most recent delivery to UM.
well between me and my friends we have 3 of the first 15 stocks ordered. and 2 of those 3 stocks have been at UM since end of March/April 1 so about 2.5 months. The third one ordered got sent to UM then UM said what was sent from stockys did not match what the order #. so instead of grabbing the next stock that was sent to UM that matches that order #, that order # instead gets sent to the back of the line to be remade at stockys with how they process their orders. on that one last update was over a month ago. I think pads is what most are waiting on at UM but hopefully they get a big shipment and get them rolling again. There's a long wait on regular rokstocks as well so I don't know how much that improves things
