I’m not criticizing him for being frustrated. I’m frustrated too. But if he’s not being the squeaky wheel with the men who have taken his money, that’s on him. And it is certainly poor customer service for UM to refer him to Mike. Mike is the only one who can make and sell wooden RokStoks per his agreement with UM. They should be in a better position to get what they want, when they want it, than the rest of us.
I was chill about it for the first six months or so, but since then I have set a monthly reminder on my calendar to ask Mike for an update. I don’t always ping him right on that date, but I do politely and persistently ask for an update. For me, it’s important not to volcano all over everyone. These are luxury items, but it is frustrating when projected delivery dates come and go.
