That’s what I’m hoping we see from @longrangeleadA wood rokstock should be very easy to set a flush arca rail in for Tripod. Simple mill a sub set flat spot so arca is flush. T juts and bolts, and you're done.
I’m honestly just thinking of flush cups and a Spartan gunmakers socket on the Lite version. Paired with a javelin bipod and their long springbok, it should cover everything I need without the arca.Well, that is disappointing. At the thickness of an arca, I could lay up carbon fiber using epoxy and do better than that.
Edit: At the price I wonder if it is a 3D print using carbon reinforced filament.
Eh, I don’t see that being very useful for real long range work though. I tried that system out on my Fieldcraft, using the Spartan/Arca adapter. It was ok at 3-400 yards, but at those ranges, a pack would have worked just as well. Far too much wobble for my liking.I’m honestly just thinking of flush cups and a Spartan gunmakers socket on the Lite version. Let’s not discourage Ian from pursuing the inset Arca option. It may sway me towards a wood Lite.
If MDT can mold an arca into the thin carbon handguard on the HNT26, I don’t see how an arca couldn’t be molded into the stock itself.Eh, I don’t see that being very useful for real long range work though. These are being prototyped now by a company here. I was going to do it but am mate is doing so. The company already sells in the USA so should be available soon.If MDT can mold an arca into the thin carbon handguard on the HNT26, I don’t see how an arca couldn’t be molded into the stock itself.
@Unknown MunitionsNot sure how far along the development for this project is, but I have a question about the Kimber version. What is the plan for the magazine? Reusing the Kimber box, Hunter magazine, or AICS compatible bottom metal?
@Unknown Munitions I guess what I'm really wanting to convey is that if you make it compatible with some form of lightweight, AICS bottom metal you'll own the Kimber market both for stocks and DBM. That would be the factor that would push me to purchase one vs continuing to use my DIY modified Hunter stock.

For anyone who has had hands on the wood rokstok lite and been able to shoot it next to the regular rokstok - did it make you want to switch from the regular to the lite? I’m looking to swap out two of my regular for the wood lite
I have three rokstoks at this point, so I know what the regular version shoots like. I don’t want or care about the rail upfront - and really don’t like sling studs. It would go on 223 and 22 creed tikkas, with 18” barrels, and OG suppressors. I just wonder if you are on the large normal side (6’1 220 for reference) if it would be better for the full size.
@Formidilosus I know you have a preference for the master sporter style and you’re heavily influencing the decision here, I just won’t likely see one of these stocks in person until the June class next year.
Thanks!
Thanks for asking this! I am strongly considering getting the wood lite for my 223 as well. For anyone who has had hands on the wood rokstok lite and been able to shoot it next to the regular rokstok - did it make you want to switch from the regular to the lite?
