Rokstok comfort?

Those of you with a Rokstok, how do you find the comfort compared to a normal high comb stock or adjustable comb stock? I am specifically interested in the comfort of the cheek weld, does it feel natural?

Short answer- yes. I enjoy shooting it. I was skeptical but bought two. I’ll only get rid of them for the lite version

Yes, it feels great. I thought it would feel weird as well. A couple weeks ago, I got to handle a fellow ‘slider’s Rokstok. Shoulders very nice and isn’t awkward

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed shooting mine on everything from 22 Creedmoor to 7 Rem Mag. Phenomenal design from a recoil control perspective and very comfortable from a variety of shooting positons. Say what you want about the looks, but the design flat out works.

It's very comfortable on the face and even more so with the leather cheekpiece add on, makes it ride like a Cadillac.
Rokstok is more comfortable compared to adjustable combs I've used. Dialing in the comb height is nice, but I don't miss it at all going to the rokstok, especially under recoil the sloped form factor is great

After shooting the Rokstok, everything else feels wrong.
Also, the Rokstok makes recoil management so effortless, you don't think about it much until you shoot a traditional stock. Then you realize how much effort you're spending on recoil management.

In regards to the comb - there is a different interface than anything else i've used and I dont love it.

Comb height to bore is one factor but comb height to butt pad is another. If you mount the butt pad to the same part of your body as you would a more traditional stock to get the benefit of resistance to recoil being closer to bore height for less muzzle rise, that in turn means the comb is LOWER in relation to where the butt pad contacts your body than a straight or positive sloped comb. I prefer a more upright head position and not bending my neck to get my head down for a cheek weld. What ends up happening for me with preferred high rings is I just end up with more of a jaw weld which is fine. The feeling of the stock heal rising higher up the cheek/jaw as it goes back is kind of odd and I dont prefer it but it is not a negative functionally.

The grip, parallel fore-end/toe, and the shape/width of the fore-end to balance carrying comfort and stability on a rest is pure money for me. Absolutely nailed it IMO.

If I could make one tweak to the shape, it would just be a more moderate slope to the negative comb which would result with higher comb height. If it really mattered to me I could easily modify my rokstoks to incorporate that modification with shaved foam, thermo beads, or kydex but its not that big of a gripe.

I have 3 of them and bought them one at a time so obviously i like them.

It’s the opposite of what you’re thinking. Going back to any other stock after using Rokstoks on most my guns, its like, okay yeah I remember this nonsense.

It doesn’t mean the other stocks/guns aren’t easily shootable, it’s just that after you use the rokstok in the field (get off that bench!) you don’t really want to use anything else.

And I’m hoping that once the Lite version is available, that I’ll get a good deal on a second Rokstok! I prefer my rifles at 8.5-9 lbs.

The cheek weld for me was not an adjustment for whatever reason. Coiple buddies have/had issues, one’s a little older with a stiffer neck so that may be part of it. Spacers and different height rings have mostly sorted that out,

The part I can’t live without is the grip. It is so natural, perfect trigger reach, makes it harder to screw up/torque the shot when adrenaline is high.

Comfort on the shot itself is excellent, the whole stock works together for a really good feeling straight back recoil impulse.
