As always this was public land, DIY. 5 miles into a wilderness. His first elk hunt, 13 years old.

After getting Hunter's elk packed out I took him to Denver and got him on a flight back to Wisconsin. I headed back in and followed up with this bull a couple days later.

Feeling left out so far this year so better post a few Been a long and wet season in Ideho for this old man! Archery was so close but needed the faithful tikka to get it done. Good to have brothers, nephews and friends who want elk meat.
