To participate go to the Mule Deer Foundation Page Here:
http://www.muledeer.org/general-donation

Suggested donation is $10, but do what you feel led to do. Please make your donation by Dec 31st. The Mule Deer Foundation will provide us with a total after we are done.

During check out; look at the very bottom of the page, please add in the comments section:
Rokslide Member

During checkout there is also an option to send your dollars to specific chapter. Please just send your donation to the National Office as we are a group from all over. Its a bigger impact to have a couple thousand+ at the National Office rather than spreading the money out over a bunch of places. 92% of our efforts go to the mission.

If you decide to join the Mule Deer Foundation, please still use the comments section to note, Rokslide Member. It should be interesting to see how many new Rokslide MDF Members we get and what our total impact is!

Don't go embarrassing us now! Its the giving season, lets make a difference!

I signed up to get us started (order number is 1941). Who's next? : )

Let's not loose traction, lots of folks viewing...... If you can't do $10, do $5 and pass on a coffee or a RedBull.. :)
We have 4000 members, we can do better than 5 contributors. Yeah?

I would of thought there would be more involvement. I'm fully on board with the RMEF (chair of the kc chapter) and still see a good value in giving to one org as a group annually. Would be great to see this take off and my hats off to you High Country.

Thanks Dotman. The RMEF seems to get a lot of publicity, and they do a lot of good. Thought it would be nice to target one of the smaller players who are out there working for us as well. Perhaps next year we could do Backcountry Hunters & Anglers or WSF or something. ???

Thanks to all who are participating! Sure hope this keeps rolling....

Backcountry Hunters & Anglers would be a good one. And why only once a year, maybe do it every quarter. I donate a lot of my time because well, I have more of it then money :). I think we all could find a few $$ to support groups that have our best interests at heart.

If this one picks up steam, then yes, multiple times a year is good. But, I made a call to the Mule Deer Foundation and have a fund raiser waiting to give us our total after Dec 31...

Depending on what folks have given we are only in the $100 range, vs. the few thousand ($5 x 1,000 members (1,000 of 4,000 members / a 25% participation rate)) that I assumed we might get. I'm a bit embarrassed to follow up with the gal at this point....

Talk is cheap,
when it's time to open the wallet, that is when the rubber hits the road.

I agree completely, we need more people to have a vested interest and not just think it will always be there. Many of the great conservationist are getting older and it is time for a new generation to take the reins. $10 helps as does volunteering time and becoming active in an org.

We may not all agree on which org to join but we all need to be involved or it may all be gone before you know it.

Something I have noticed is that the most active donors hardly hunt but it also seems like the ones that hunt a lot really don't join the cause, we need to change this.
