Last month's issue of Backpacker magazine did an article on the Blue Lakes hike in the Mt. Sneffels Wilderness area. It sounds like the timing would fit perfectly into a Friday-Sunday time frame. The pictures are gorgeous and we could do a little trout fishing as well. Just throwing it out there

I probably won't be able to make it, but my wife and I did a 27 mile loop in the Lost Creek Wilderness in May that was spectacular. It started at the Goose Creek trailhead 2 hours from Denver.

Last weekend in July is clear for the time being so I'd look forward to seeing some potentially new ground.
