Intended game is giant mule deer, so we’ll call the kill zone the center circle of the Sevr target which is 9”.

Day 1:

85F, Wind 5 mph left to right. Shot feels good. Hit.

Day 2:
95F, Wind 15 mph right to left. Good shot. Hit. Less than 2” from yesterday’s shot. I really like this bow, these arrows, and these Iron Will Snyder Core broadheads.

Day 3
95F, wind 10 mph right to left. Shot felt good. Hit. Up and right from previous 2 days.

Day 2 5/13 gusty wind, inconsistent direction, let down after first draw couldnt settle the pin like id like. second draw forced the shot, never goes well with a hinge release
MISS

Day 3 5/14 calm shot process felt awkward
shot broke right where the arrow landed though. I will count it!

Day 1: Carried my bow and target with me all day at the farm but didn’t get a chance to shoot. So I set it up when I got home. I am shooting a rinehart 18, pulled back and settler into the 60 yard pin. Tried to execute my shot and I got nervous I was going to miss the target so I flinched, then I got into my own head and I started thinking about commanding the shot. In the end MISS! 😢 picture of the target shows where my arrow went with the red mark. Probably would have been guys on an animal. I need a lot more practice, part of that is mental practice.IMG_3511.jpeg

Day 2: it’s been blowing like a banshee in Washington so I have taken a haiatus. Maybe should have shot in the wind it would have pushed my arrow into the target! I was feeling pretty good but I’m still anticipating the shot and jerking. Miss #2!

Day 1
Just got back to being able to shoot my bow again a couple weeks ago after tearing my right pec muscle last September and having surgery to reattach the tendon in October. My kill zone is the front face of the Rinehart target. 5 pm, sunny, breeze left to right. Pulled the shot a bit to the left bit still in the kill zone.

IMG_3113.jpeg

Day 2
8pm, calm, no wind. Shot broke good, landed a little low and right of center but still in the vitals.

IMG_3115.jpeg

Day 3
5 pm, overcast, breezy left to right. Got impatient in my shot process due to the wind and pulled the shot low, missing the vitals.

Day 3. Gorgeous morning, 65 degrees, slightly overcast. Shot at 0645. Shot felt great and hit right behind the pin. Very happy with my results. Can’t wait to get up to AK in a few months. Thanks for putting this together Robby and thanks to all the sponsors. Good luck everyone.

Shooting the 7" marker circle around the colored target at 50 yards.
First shot was about 8:30am this morning with a slight lert to right breeze. Shot felt great and was a little right.
IMG_1447.JPGIMG_1451.jpegIMG_1452.jpeg

Day 2 - 5/15/26 6:20am with a strong left to right wind (14 mph) that swirled around the end of our pond. I thought about waiting until later, but this is why we do this. I aimed at the left side of the marker circle, shot felt terrible (rushed) and I could see the arrow being affected by a strong gust of wind. The result speaks for itself. The Day 1 arrow flew perfect. IMG_1454.jpeg

Day 3: Nice semi-sunny day with winds again 8-12 mph from left to right. Shot about 3:10pm.
Changed it up a lot for the last shot.
I passes a shot like this last year on a 150+/- buck (whitetail) in mid October. I don't regret passing on that shot at all even though he was shot by a neighbor in early November.
The target is 51.3 yards from my treestand (deer was probably 46-48 last year).
Haven't tried shooting sitting down since last fall. Shots 1 and 2 were standing.
I let down once because I couldn't settle the pin. The second time, the shot felt good, the arrow flight was good, but it was about 3-4" right of the entire target. Perfect height, but way right.

Looking at the target from my treestand.

62 degrees and windy today but I shot in between gusts. Shot broke as well as I could’ve wanted and landed a hair right. Promising start!

Day 2:

bc933a397e8b58f2bdae1ccb81dafb4e.jpg

72 degrees, dead calm, and sunny - absolutely beautiful this evening. I felt the bow react a hair to the left on the shot (maybe some tension in my grip) and the flight reflected it. But by the skin of my teeth I’m 2/2 with another hit!

Day 3:

68fcaa856946823e5f4aa5b693ecfe04.jpg

60’s light breeze. No breakfast yet and caffeinated had me a little shaky. Had to let down on the first draw. Broke a stable one on the second draw and hit same hole as day 2. Happy to participate in the cold bow challenge again. Now time to get those reps in for PA TAC coming up!

Day 1: I haven't touched my bow in two weeks or so. Kneeling, some swirly 10-15mph wind from 8oclock to 12oclock. By the skin of a blade!
PXL_20260514_173702717.jpg

Day 2 I went out to my friend's ranch and found a booner pronghorn. Waited until it went to the pond to drink and then stalked in to my 50yd MER. Thankfully he got some video and it's apparent I need immensely drastically exponentially better back tension.
Gut shot ~6" outside out side the vitals towards the rear.
PXL_20260515_185442875.jpg

Day 3 I went out to my original location to see if the scent from the carcass of day 1 had attracted any bucks. It had and I found one phorn hanging out with an elk friend. This shot was sitting, and again with the left/right misses. Barely hung in the block and outside my vitals.
