My 12 year old daughter walks up on her first bull elk. She earned her bull after hunting hard for several days and almost 8 miles hiked on the day she connected right as the sun was setting.
My 11 year old and his first mule deer. When we where making plans for this season he said his main goal was to shoot a nice mule deer. Told him this one might be a hard one to top for awhile.
My 17 year old daughter’s first year hunting elk. She wanted to do a cool hunt during her senior year. 7 days in a tent with spotty internet is tough for a teenager in this day and age, but challenging her and watching her overcome adversity makes for an incredible memory. God is good!
Good deal there for all the young folks, I remeber my sons first deer as well as my granddaughters, and her first blue marlin, great time lasting memories and future saviours of the sport.
Proud daddy here. 8 year old son and his first hunt as the shooter. Nice 56 yard shot on a mature missouri doe. This was his first time shooting with obstacles and he handled it very well. He was so excited and already wants to go back. I guess he will be shooting during rifle season and I will take a backseat, which I am totally fine with.
Second time hunting, second deer. This time a buck. A spike, but a buck nonetheless. The biggest buck he has ever harvested. I like this photo better too.
Really proud Dad moment. My 4th son (youngest) with his first deer. This was taken on my Dad’s farm. My older 3 sons have also taken their first on this ground. Really proud of my boys. When my youngest got this doe, he looked at me and said “dad, look at my hands, I can’t stop shaking!” Laughed about that for quite a while. Thanks for the opportunity. -Rufus
My son Nolan with his second deer of the year. He put in some serious hunting hours with me before getting this buck. Hot, cold, calm, windy, in blinds and in trees, he's developed some great patience for his age.
