Little Bro (8 years old) got his first deer on December 4th in Ohio

My daughter, Renee, put in a lot of work before taking her first animal, this caribou.
Last February the temp rose to -20f(it had been -40 all week) the day before Valentines Day, so we headed out looking for a caribou. We found a small group about a mile south of the northernmost point in the United States. The shot was just over 200 yards. Renee dropped this bull with a single shot from her M700 mountain rifle in 257 Roberts. Not bad for an 11 year old.

As excited as we both were, I forgot to have her pull her fade-mask down for the photo. If you look close, you can see the smile in her eyes.

After a couple years of close calls, my boy finally closed the deal on his first bow kill. His twin brother has been training a tracking dog all summer and fall and we put her to work.

5 miles round trip from where we spotted him to having him packed out. He said his favorite part was the pack out.
He spent all summer working to buy the parts to his rifle. I am very proud of all his hard work.

My Middle boy was able to harvest his first deer this year, he had a great shot after a 250 yard belly crawl. He was very happy with the results!

My first and only Elk!! I drew Utah General Youth tag this year and killed him on opening day. We scouted a bunch. I also hunted Wyoming for 2 weeks but I wasn't able to kill a bull.
Also, I don't think im eligible because my dad is @Travis Bertrand

My 10 yr old daughter Delaney bagged her first buck with a well executed lung shot from 221 yards with my 6mm/06. One of the most rewarding hunts that I've been one.

Lots of good photos here. It's good to see kids getting outside and away from the computers and video games. Whether they know it or not, they all learned something, and they all built character and self esteem by accomplishing difficult and useful tasks. Thank you to all parents who give their kids these opportunities.

Since 2021 hunting seasons are wrapping up, here's a reminder to post any pictures you want in the contest. Pictures can be from any season through December 31. The last day to post will be January 15, after which the thread will be locked.
