Rokman Packs (whose using them?)

I liked their bino harness so much I picked up their pack system. Having all my gear waterproof is awesome. I am still getting used to running the frame vs. just the straps. Anyone else running Rokman?

Maybe if you are running the entire system at once. But that would be an enormous amount of waterproof space.

But they do have a lifetime warranty! So even though made in China they back it up! That was enough for me.

I have rocked Rokman for more than a decade and finally switched. The waterproofness and bomb-proof packs are amazing. I will be keeping the packs just for that. However, the frame/harness just didn't work for me. After more than a decade of it slipping, putting pressure in weird places and back pain I gave up on the system. I had the whole thing, and loved it for what it was, but I am just too old to deal with the pain. Also, their zippers will break, repeatedly. The main pack zipper is fine, but all the others are horrible. Never had one last more than a year, they'll fix them for you, no problem, but you don't have a pack while they do. If anyone has any questions about them, reach out! I have used them all over the world for backpacking and hunting.

Personally, if I want completely waterproof I will use a dry bag. A contractor trash bag in the main bag does a good job for everything, but swimming.

Otherwise, I can make no informed comment beyond that there are plenty of good USA made packs to choose from for me to eliminate a brand based on location of manufacturing.

This bino harness might be one of the best made. It's totally waterproof and opens in front of you to make a kind of "shelf" when you have it open. The straps aren't the most comfortable, but certainly not the least either. The only one I like better right now is one I got in one of the subscription pack things.
