RoBo Calls

I am getting 15 to 20 robo calls per day on my I Phone. All from different numbers. I'm ready to strangle them. I heard there might be an APP to stop this. Any suggestions?

The National Do Not Call Registry is 888-382-1222 or you can visit their website at https://www.donotcall.gov/, that may help cut down on them.

Same here lately.

AT&T has an “Call Protect App to tell you which are Spam or Tele-markers but to block them you have to pay $4 per month. I’m thinking AT&T is behind it. No proof just a feeling. What would an additional $4 per month from all of their customers be? $$$$$


Note. I just noticed they let me block Spam calls now for free. Blocking text markers is $3.99.

There is a way to auto block unknown callers on your IPhone. It is is the Settings menu. Basically it will auto block any number that is not in your contacts. They can still leave a voicemail, but your phone won't ring. I use it on my personal phone. Can't really do it on my work phone, but I get less spam calls on that phone anyway.

My ex coworker would answer them in speaker and keep working and just drag them out in the phone for as long as they would tolerate it. Pretty comical.

I am already on Do Not Call List. Wondered if that just made it worse. I get calls from many unknown callers due to my business so hard to block all calls not on contact list. Most robo calls are 888 or 877. Yes I've had calls from myself also my wife as she was standing next to me!!! I'm tired of it

Just start blocking them. The do not call list does absolutely nothing. I have blocked hundreds of numbers. It will eventually slow down as you start weeding through them. If a number calls me and does not leave a VM, it gets blocked. If it is a VM about car warranty or other unwanted solicitation, I block it. I am down to 3-4 per week instead of 15-20 per day.

I can't tell you how many I have blocked other than saying it's massive amounts. Strange thing is my wife never gets them or very few. Might be because the account is in my name. I have been on National do not call list since 2003, useless.

If the call comes up as spam, do not answer. If they know they have a live voice, not only will they keep calling back, but they will sell and resell your number.

I use the android app called Anti Nuisance. It stops them from ringing though for the most part.

It blocks all numbers not in you address book or whitelisted.

I'm able to set up my phone to accept calls only from my contacts. I did try a separate app but it didn't do anything my phone couldn't and it was a pita to set up.

Press 1 to speak with someone then have some with it. Trust me if you make them feel exposed, confused, triggered or harassed the calls stop fast. My favorite is asking them when they’re going to get a real job or “you look cute in your Facebook profile”
