My wife picked up a Howa Superlite in. 6.5 Creedmoor yesterday on a Black Friday sale so now I get to piece the rest of it together.

I'm debating between Talley Lightweight rings (Either Low or Medium) or finding some extremely low rings to mount on top of the existing rail (which is already .5" high). For a proper cheek weld, she needs to keep the rise to somewhere between .5 & .6". What are the good options for rings but reliable rings to go on top of the included rail?

Not Talley, that’s for sure.

If you need the direct mount, I would try the leupold backcountry rings.

Otherwise, NF ultralight are a gold standard pic ring. Unknown munitions makes some good ones as well I’ve heard, though I’ve got no experience with them personally. Burris xtreme 6 screw rings are another great option for a good price.

started with talley, went to Burris xt something steel 2 piece bases and old school weaver 1" detach top mount low for a more robust 1" solution, perfect alignment on our mini carbon, not sure you'll get that low with a 30mm scope though, henneberger rings be a good choice on same bases, prolly set about 1/8" higher and still pretty usable for most, I like shotgun low though, most don't seem to care much about lifting head

Did you end up getting the talley rings? About to order some for mine, but unsure if the lows will have enough clearance for a 3-9x40.
Yes I went with Talleys in Medium height. Perfect alignment and enough bolt handle clearance with the Sightron s1 1.5-5 scope. I think there would have been some contact with the lows.
