My vote is a hard no for a 22 caliber rimfire. There are so many great 9mm options out there. I have been carrying a sig 938 for years. Small, accurate and easy to handle.

A rimfire lacks consistency. Sure, pull the trigger again if it's a revolver. But that is assuming you have the state of mind to do that. And precious seconds wasted if you have to.

Get an appropriate tool for the task and learn how to use it.

Edit: I think glock is a great option. I have a 9mm and a 10mm. It's just a reliable gun and surprisingly manageable for a plastic gun.
