Right Handed, Left Eye Dominant Child

Teach him to shoot left handed, there is nothing wrong with being able to shoot from both sides.

For my left eye dominance and right handed shooting, I use glasses, put a 1/4 piece of a 1" dot sticker at the right middle of the left eye. You will have to play with where this works for your son. This stops the left eye from seeing the barrel, but you still see the flight of a bird, most, if not all, peripheral vision is still usable, and he see's down the barrel with the correct eye.
